The Family’s Statement
A family approved statement by the family of Linda Boucher was read at the start of the 1/14/25 board meeting, and is as follows:
“Fight the good fight of the faith, take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your confession in the presence of many witnesses”
1 Timothy 6:12
We share this verse with you as it so closely aligns with how Linda Boucher led her life. This past Sunday, the twelfth of January, 2025 Linda was called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Linda led a rich and principled life, which in addition to loving her God, husband, family, friends and community was greatly focused on serving others through her education profession. She used the blessing and accomplishment of her Bachelors and Master Degrees in Education as well as her PhD level coursework to serve her community as a teacher in many area Districts including Kenosha, Milwaukee and Elmbrook and for the past nine years as a dedicated member of this board of education.
Throughout her career she took great joy in teaching, working with, and being a tireless supporter who advocated for the parents of and children with special needs in her community. She spent many happy hours with these students at their dances and graduations and loved them dearly. One of the final joys of her life was casting her vote for the refurbishment and remodel of Fairview South, your very unique, highly effective and special school for these students. It was her hope that with this board action, the Fairview South program would continue to set the bar for years to come.
Linda now joins her beloved husband in the eternal life promised to her and to all believers in Jesus Christ. Our family thanks you for your warm wishes, but asks for privacy at this time until services, which we are currently planning, are announced. We would appreciate if you would reserve your comments for those memorial opportunities rather than tonight. For those wishing to consider memorials, please consider making them to Friends of Fairview South.
In closing Linda would want us to remind everyone that she is with her Lord now and we can all join her someday if we believe in Him. She knew this because of His word which she would so often reference such as John 10:28-30 which reads:
“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one."
May God richly bless you all as you continue your service to this community.
